Peer Review Process

• After online submission through the journal portal an editorial check will be carried afterwards on the scientific content of the work by editorial board members.
• If accepted, the editor/s will check the appropriateness of the English Language and plagiarism and a decision to return the submission to author or proceed further will be done. 
•  If the study includes statistical data, the biostatistical department of the journal will review it and provide a feedback to the editors.
• If deemed appropriate, editors will invite peer reviewers in the field related to the manuscript.
•  The reviewer will submit their decision and recommendation whether the paper is fit for publication or revision will be required. The journal aims for the review process to be finished withn 3-4 weeks subject to circumstances of the journal reviewers and editors.
•  In case of a revision, the author is required to address the reviewers’ comments and send it back for another peer review check in 10 days. If additional days are needed for finalizing the revision, an email to the editor in chief with reasons should be provided.
• In case of acceptance, payment will be required to initiate the copyediting and formatting of the manuscript.
•  The corresponding author will receive Galley Proof for proofreading before the final publication.
• Final decision on the Galley Proof correction will be done by the editors.
• Publication of the manuscript in the Current issue, and will be archived after 30 days in the issue.

Timeline of the peer review process

• The journal will have an average of 30 days from the submission date to the final decision, delays and more time may happen in case of delays by the reviewers to submit their report.

• Authors should keep in mind that the process might take longer in case of revising the manuscript.
